Getting to Elba

Elba is reachable by ferry by embarking at Piombino on one of the three companies (Toremar, Moby Lines and BluNavy) ferries. These ferries provide a comfortable trip with hourly departures. In only one hour the ferry covers the nine kilometers which separate the island from the continent, arriving safely at the harbors of Portoferraio or Rio Marina.
There is however, an alternate route for pedestrians only, by taking a fast hydro float boat which reaches Portoferraio in only 30 minutes.

Arriving by car:

From the North:
From Milan take the motorway A1 towards Parma West then take the A15 to arrive to the motorway A12 Genova-Livorno, exit at Rosignano, continue on the motorway Aurelia until Venturina-Isola d'Elba then turn for Piombino Marittima.

From North East:
Take the motorway A1 in direction Bologna-Firenze-Pisa-Livorno: exit at Rosignano, continue on the motorway Aurelia until Venturina-Isola d' Elba and from here follow for Piombino Marittima.
In alternative, take the S.G.C. Firenze-Pisa-Livorno: exit at Firenze Signa and follow the motorway to Collesalvetti, then follow the motorway towards Rosignano Marittima, follow the motorway to Venturina-Isola d'Elba and from here continue towards Piombino Marittima.

From the South:
Take the motorway A12 Roma-Grosseto: the motorway Aurelia then exit at Venturina-Isola d'Elba, and continue towards Piombino Marittima.

By train: :

By air :
Elba is reachable by air flying with the company Elbafly which has daily flights from the airport of Marina di Campo to the major italian Airports.

By bus:
